I have seen many articles with screenshot of the iPhone.
Starting an article about my favorite iPhone applications, I needed a tool to do some screenshot of the iPhone.
Not to long ago, I found in the Camera Roll Library of my iPhone 3G a screenshot. I was wondering how it got there.
Unfortunately I did not find it on the apple Support. Exploring different combination and pressing all the button of the iPhone in different ways, I repeated the what happened earlier and got a picture of the screen in the Camera Roll.
Turn out that the 2.0 firmware have a built in feature to take snapshot of the iPhone’s screen. It works with the first and the second generation iPhone.
To take a screenshot the only thing you need is to hold the Home button and press the Sleep/wake buttons in the same time.
The screen capture will be store automatically in your Camera Roll Library.
As easy as that!
Here is two exemples of screenshot: My facebook profil using the app. And my Flickr account using the new site m.flickr.com optimized recently for the iPhone by yahoo.
Have you find undocumented feature built in the 2.0 firmware of the iPhone? If Yes share it with us.
